Sweet & Sour Ohgave! Meatballs
A recipe by Willem De Froy

Serves 6
It’s OK to cheat on this recipe! You can use pre-made deli meatballs or a box of frozen, fully cooked meatballs if you’re too busy to make them yourself. I want to make it simple for you to serve these sweet yet tangy, mouthwatering meatballs, which are a great addition to a holiday party or any special occasion. But I warn you, these little appetizers can be addictive!
4 to 5 ready cooked meatballs per person, appetizer size
3 tablespoons sweet relish
4 tablespoons finely chopped sautéed red onion
½ cup rice vinegar
½ cup Ohgave! nectar
2 to 3 teaspoons of cooking oil for sautéing
Heat oil and sauté the onions in a skillet. In the same warm/hot skillet used to sauté the onions, add sweet relish, vinegar and Ohgave! nectar. Bring to a quick boil. Add warm meatballs and allow sauce to reduce till it coats. Serve hot.
